8. 10th F folks, TIME FOR ASSESSMENT This page will be open till Wednesday, 4th June. Please, edit the page and start participating. Be creative and innovative, or even better, BE YOU!!!!The schoolyear is coming to a close. So, let's assess all the work done and share some opinions! Point all all the positive and not so positive, or even negative points!...Just let me jot down a few topics for you to consider:A. Expectations - Were they fulfilled or not? Why (not)?Yes, I think that my expectations were fulfilled. Over the year, the interaction in the class was improving, and with lots of fun, we all learned new things, and so we can consider it a very positive school year. We hope for an equally educational and fun future school year.Ricardo Loureiro, 10ºF, nº22
About my expectations, I can only say that you overcame them. I already knew that the teacher was spectacular, because I had heard my sister talking about your classes and how you could make everything seem fun.
Through the year, I realize that what you really want is help us and that for us is very important. Is that affection, that kindness and that sweetness that make the English class what it is, when we say what we want and you realize that we share those nonsense stories because we trust you.
Sara Noronha nº15 10ºF
Yes, I believe everything lived up to my expectations, nothing stood out and nothing sucked. In this class there were a lot of butt-lickers, but apart from that it was a decent english year. :>
To be honest my english level is the same as it was when the year began. :>
Ricardo Santos nº23
So, let me see... First of all, I would like to say that you, Ricardo Santos, are, so far, my fiercest and harshest critic, but, as I asked for it, no problem apart from a few remarks that I can't agree with and, therefore, have to comment on. Let me begin!... Firstly, as teachers we never please everyone; so, I accept that "nothing stood out and nothing sucked" ... Secondly, who are the "butt-lickers" in your opinion? I sure would like to know... I suspect I know what you mean, but being nice and pleasant to a teacher doesn't really mean they are, as you put it, "butt-lickers" ... Thirdly, thank God that you are so sure of your knowledge and that your "English level is the same as it was when the year began". I do appreciate people who already know everything... ANA And by the way, Ricardo, there's really no need to change your opinion because I may have a few flaws, but I sure am a democratic teacher and accept criticism ... ANA In relation to my expectations in the English classes this year, they were fulfilled. I really enjoyed this year. Although we worked hard, it was also important the funny moments we had. As I said, we worked a lot this year and that let my english level improve a lot. Filipe Gonçalves, 10th F, 9
Overall, this year in terms of the English subject, I believe that the aims were achieved due to our interaction in classes and others activities. So, I think we are well prepared for the next English year.
Rui Pedro Libório, 10thF, 25
For this year, my expectations were achived. I think all went well and the classes were made in a way that everybody is able to develop their English skills
João Barros 10thF 11
Just like Sara said earlier, you overcame our expectations. When I came into this new school and started this new stage of my life I wasn't expecting to cross paths with a crazy (in a good way) teacher who can make English classes interesting and one of the best parts of our school days. Here I am being completely honest, just like you asked us to be and I am not afraid of it. Do you want to know why? Because you, as an amazing person, gave us the freedom to be ourselves, to trust you, to express our opinion and let it all out, without worries. That was the main thing that made me love our English lessons: the fact that we could be whoever we are with our friends, say whatever we wanted to say and be evaluated based on our effort and abilities. It was a truly awesome year! Matilde Santana, 10th F, 16
At the beginnig of this school year, they told me you were an excellent english teacher and very likeable. My expectations were fulfilled and, in some aspects, surpassed.
Pedro Gabriel nº19
In my opinion, I think that english classes achieved and overcame my expectations. First, when I was "getting out" of my previuosly school, some theachers told that with my "arrogant" atitude of being always joking with everything and thinking "I'm the best"( i don't know where trying to be funny is considered "thinking that we are the best", but whatever), probably this year would suck to me and I would finish the year with bad grades because no teacher "can support my personality" (I think my maths' teacher said it). But, when i came in into the english classe i knew a fantastic person. I'm not being a "butt-licker", because i would be that if you we were a bitch teacher. Sorry for my bad choice of words. I knew a teacher who was always laughing out loud and probably the teacher with the best sense of humor I've ever met. Because of that, I think that our classes were more productive because people were good to say whatever they wanted, with the words they wanted because we see you as a friend and not as the english teacher. I found that you like people who make you laugh, and I think that whit my "stupid" personality and behavior I was capable of making you laugh! Because of that I found that was easy to communicate without having the fear of committing mistakes or the fear of not say something because it is too stupid! To finish, as Matilde said, I think that we trust you ( the majority I supose), and we love your sense of humor and all your LOL! This year I get in unintelligent, and now, because of you I'm less unintelligent :p I hope that you would be our teacher next year!
Tiago Santos nº29
B. Contents / topics dealt with - Which one(s) did you like best and least? Why? In my opinion, the theme associated with teenagers was the most interesting because, since so are we, it is always important to know new stories and concepts. This stage of life is marked by many problems, and know them and share them with other teenagers can avoid them.Ricardo Loureiro, 10ºF, nº22
My favourite topic was love. First, I'm a girl so I love to talk about feelings and relationships. And of course, we laughed a lot in that classes that we discussed it and everybody shouts funny things, like Tiago Santos. Love is related with teenagers, so the all content was great, because it is the stage we are passing trough and makes it easy to talk about.Sara Noronha nº15 10ºF
Teens problems. Mostly because we got to and will do what we like, which is to represent drugs, alcohol, prostitution, GAYS... and how to surprass them. :>Ricardo Santos nº23 As for the topics, no surprises really ... ANA I loved interpreting the role plays, it was definitly one of the funniest parts! I jut wish this school year could be longer, socially the english classes :( However i feel like my english as improved and I loved to whatch all the movies, but The Hunger Games was definitly my favorite one as you know it! Ana Sofia Cabral nº4, 10th F The topic that we discuss that I liked the most was definitely the teens’ problems. We discuss almost everything in relation to this topic and I really like the discussions we had because the teacher talked with us without any problem (which was, in my opinion, very important). Filipe Gonçalves, 10th F, 9
In my opinion, my favourite topic was probably the 2nd term topic, about robots and technology, because of activities and debates we had about it and due to the diversity opinion we had about it. About the 1st term, I think that was the term where we begin to know what is supose to do in the next two terms.
The Teens Problems´ topic was my second favourite because we are teens and the topic are about us.
In my honest opinion, in spite of the many activities we had this year, I liked everything that we work in classes.
Rui Pedro Libório, 10thF, 25 I agree with Rui in and the topic that i most enjoyed was also technology and robots. I think the way of talking about this topic was very amusing, which led to a better way of learning. In the same way, i also liked the topic about teens' problems because we discussed it in depth and we all might identify with those situations. João Barros 10thF 11
Robots and technology - the debate was awesome. As Rui pointed out, the fact that everyone had their own opinion made discussing this topic much more interesting.
Pedro Gabriel nº19
I can't say that I have a favourite topic. Nonetheless, I considered the best parts of it the ones where we got the chance to question ourselves, listen to others and decide on which side we were/are. I loved the debates about robots and even teenagers. It is an amazing way of expressing our opinion and talk about subjects that aren't that common in our everyday life. Matilde Santana, 10thF, 16
C. Class activities / materials - Which activities / materials used did you like best? And least? Why?As you know, I had a really great time making the roleplay. I am very proud of it and it's fantastic what comes out when we join some lines an ideas. The most fun roleplay was the Hunger Games roleplay. It's so funny being a character that has so many differences, and also because it were other times, another clothes, makeup, all very enthusiastic.Sara Noronha nº15 10ºF
For me, the role-plays were the best! It takes a lot of work to do, but in the end… is really cool to present the project to you and to my classmates, because we have so much fun! Salomé Carvalho nº26 10F
Roleplays are usuall what students like best. At first, some react against them but later they see their value and really appreciate them. ANA
My favourite activities were the ones that made us forget that we were in a classroom having a English lesson. Every single round table discussion, roleplays and debates were so interesting that, before our lessons, I was hoping that we would do it again. At least in my point of view, us, students, are more comfortable and willing to talk rather than in an ordinary classroom organization. Matilde Santana, 10thF, 16
D. Which was the best movie project that I suggested? And the most terrible? Why?I had never seen the "life as a house," but the way how the story unfolded caught my attention. A family divided that in the end finds the true meaning of union is really fantastic.Ricardo Loureiro, 10ºF, nº22 My favourite movie was The Hunger Games, it is a great film, different but good. All the details and that eccentric makeup caughts our attention and makes us want more and more! The movie that I liked the least was Totall Recal, it's not my type of movie, but it was fun to take a little from both and make something good. Sara Noronha nº15 10ºF
I really loved “Life as a house”. It’s a really good movie and I didn’t know that before this year… but the fact that probably made me love this movie so much is because Hayde Christensen (Sam Monroe), besides being really cute, played the role of Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in Star Wars II and III… and I really love Star Wars! Salomé Carvalho nº26 10ºF
They were all above average, didn't loved any and didn't hate any. Although "The Hunger Games" was probably the best. :>
Ricardo Santos nº23 So far we have a tie: Hunger Games" and Life as a House". Let's see if things change... ANA
The film that I liked the most was “Life as a House” because of the topic of it. By watching the film I could realize many serious problems of people of my age which was very important for me… Filipe Gonçalves, 10th F, 9
My favourite film of the two films viewed in classes is the "Hunger Games" because of the quality of the film and their actors and the message that it showed.
Another aspect for the "Hunger Games" was that we have more time to discuss about it.
Rui Pedro Libório, 10thF, 25
The film that I liked the most was "The Hunger Games" because it was so well directed and plot was great. João Barros 10thF 11
E. Which class(es) did you like the most? And the least? Why?
I liked every class and disliked every class, because when you get down to it they were pretty much the same :D Ricardo Santos nº23 No comments needed!!!! ANA
I'll have to disagree with Ricardo on this one. Besides our normal classes, we did debates, roleplays, watched movies, listened to songs and took part in fun activities such as the masks class. Every class was unpredictable and very enjoyable to experience. My favorite was definetely the masks one - impersonating other person can be really cool.
Pedro Gabriel nº19
F. How did you like your teacher? What were/are her qualities as a teacher and as a person? What about her defects? (I promise it won't interfere with your mark... ) So, be honest pleaseeeee! The way how the teacher gives the lessons allows all students to participate in a more relaxed way, making it more fun. I think that this is good. Ricardo Loureiro, 10ºF, nº22 As I said before, you really can make the most boring task fun. That is your quality as a teacher, but for what I know of you, you're really a great person. Fun, kind, sweet and serious when you have to. What I mean is , you can be crazy like us and with us,but you still know how to be in control and most of the teachers can't be both.Sara Noronha nº15 10ºF
What can I say about the teacher?… You are really, really funny and crazy (and I love that)! We will be your 10th F "grandchildren", forever right? You made the classes always funny, you have a good musical taste (I mean, you like Queen! Do you like Pink Floyd and The Beatles too?...) and you like good TV series ( Do you like “Sherlock” or “Da Vinci’s Demons”? It´s the best in the world!). Salomé Carvalho nº26 10ºF
You were alright overall, don't have any complains but i do beli | eve you give in to butt-lickers (don't know a softer way to say it) like *hmf hmf* ^^|^^ . Just "keepin´ it real" :>
Ricardo Santos nº23 Here I must confess I'm officially hurt and offended, Ricardo Santos:(( One thing is to say there are "butt-lickers" in class, the other is to write I "give in" to them ... ANA
G. What would you like to have changed, added or simply taken away? H. Any special memories you will keep? Funny moments you'll never forget? Which ones?
I think chocolates you can keep bringing, everyone likes them. I've loved every single class. So, I beg you, keep being this amazing teacher, and please keep being OURS AMAZING TEACHER.
If I could have changed something, it probably would have been watching “The Perks of Being a Wallflower”. It’s my favorite movie in the world and Logan Lerman is really hot! Salomé Carvalho nº26 10ºF
(cough cough,^^|^^, not kissing ass at all)
So, I would have liked to change nothing, add everything and take some. I will treasure some memorys, the ones I do remember, and I will possibly forget them in the future, no promises made. :>
Ricardo Santos nº23 I'll surely keep lots of memories of this class, but I'll try to keep just the nice ones:)) ANA
I agree with the person who mentioned the chocolates! Keep making english classes fun and enthusiastic!
Ana Sofia Cabral nº4 10thF
I will keep the best moments for my entire life, and I think that your classes are difinitely unique!
Rui Pedro Libório, 10thF, 25
I think the classes were good overall and I believe that I won't forget these classes. I don't think that there's the need of making any significant change. João Barros 10thF 11
I. TIME TO SAY GOODBYE!!! Any special message to your teacher:))I just wanted to say you that it was a pleasure to have you as a teacher, and this is a see you, and not a goodbye. Ricardo Loureiro, 10ºF, nº22
Yeah, I just would like to say that i had a lot of fun in your classes. The debates, the roleplays , all of those "works" were very funny and the less "formal" classes were very good as well. That method of improving our English speaking skills contributed to the development of our English and we have to give you the credits for that. Thank teacher for this great year that compensated the more negative parts of my academic year in this school. PedroBonitoBaptista nº18 10F
I hope that next year... you will be our teacher again… because I want to laugh more when you say “Do I have to do a striptease for you to participate?” and “C’mon! Give me a break!” and see you run in the classroom with your classic notebook! Yeah… you are so funny… Salomé Carvalho nº26 10ºF
I wrote too much, hoping that I won't have to do wiki again :D
BAI :>
Ricardo Santos nº23
Ricardo Loureiro, it was also a pleasure to have been your teacher :)) Pedro Bonito, sorry for the negative parts of this schoolyear, but stay positive and everthing will turn out all right. Salomé, my "classic notebook" defines me now more than ever... You know, my memory is not what it used to be :(( Ricardo Santos, the WIKI is supposed to help weaker students, but I accept it has no real meaning to you. As for the next year, your English teacher will decide for it or not... ANA
I honestly want you to be our teacher next year, this was the year I loved the most learning english and english classes now mean something else for all of us. Where else can you watch amazing movies, learn english and have fun at the same time? There were positive and negative aspects this year but I think there were more postive than negative aspects. Next year I want to improve my english skills and show some creative rolleplays to the teacher and to the class. Please, keep being the amazing and enthusiastic teacher you are because your grandchildren love it that way! Kisses and have nice and relaxing vacations! :DAna Sofia Cabral nº4, 10th F
My message is definitely "Have a nice a Summer" due to the fact that I believe that you next year will be our teacher again. However, I am not certain of that, so wish the best for you and for your family. In addiction, I wish that you continue be yourself independently of the bad moments you have to pass. BYE, SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!
Rui Pedro Libório, 10thF, 25
For me, this was the year I liked the most learning English. In class, we can learn English and have fun at the same time, through movies, roleplays, debates ... Thus, we can increase our abilities in English and I think the credits are all yours. Therefore, I want you to be our teacher next year, because this education system is beneficial for us. Marcelo Pereira nº12, 10ºF
I wish you a good summer and a good holidays. I liked your English classes and your way of teaching. João Barros 10thF 11
The majority of the students have a "bad" image from teachers but you are definitely far from that image. We develop with you a relationship that isn't normal to see. As refered, your way of teaching is unique. A Libório, I believe that you will be our teacher next school year. So, I just can wish you a good vacations (despite being far away from your "grandchildren"!) and, hopefully, see you next year. Bye! Rita Antunes, nº24, 10thF
Good Summer for all of you.:D Remember that these vacations are ONLY 3 months long so remember to enjoy them well:D
Hope to see you all in the next year
Pedro Afonso nº17/10ºF
I enjoyed a lot your english classes. I´ve learn and improved my english skils.
I hope you continue to be our teacher next year and have a good vacations! see you next year :)

Ricardo Santos nº23
Here I must confess I'm officially hurt and offended, Ricardo Santos:(( One thing is to say there are "butt-lickers" in class, the other is to write I "give in" to them ... ANA
(cough cough,^^|^^, not kissing ass at all)So, I would have liked to change nothing, add everything and take some. I will treasure some memorys, the ones I do remember, and I will possibly forget them in the future, no promises made. :>
Ricardo Santos nº23I'll surely keep lots of memories of this class, but I'll try to keep just the nice ones:)) ANA
I agree with the person who mentioned the chocolates! Keep making english classes fun and enthusiastic!
Ana Sofia Cabral nº4 10thF
I will keep the best moments for my entire life, and I think that your classes are difinitely unique!
Rui Pedro Libório, 10thF, 25I think the classes were good overall and I believe that I won't forget these classes.
BAI :>
Ricardo Santos nº23Ricardo Loureiro, it was also a pleasure to have been your teacher :)) Pedro Bonito, sorry for the negative parts of this schoolyear, but stay positive and everthing will turn out all right.
Rui Pedro Libório, 10thF, 25For me, this was the year I liked the most learning English.

Pedro Afonso nº17/10ºF
